Visionary Family Ministires
Sharing God's Plan for Families Born out of Deuteronomy 6
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
Deuteronomy 6: 5-6, ESV
Rob & Amy Rienow were married in 1994, but even though they were both believers, they didn’t begin their marriage and family life with a dynamic, biblical vision. Through the years God turned their hearts more and more to His word, to ministry to each other, and their most important Great Commission calling – impressing the hearts of their children with a love for God. While they both admit they have a long way to go toward being a visionary family, God continues to show His grace and mercy to them.
Today, Visionary Family Ministries encourages families and trains church leaders through live conferences, books, video bible studies, and free internet resources. Each year we offer more than 50 seminars and conferences in the United States and around the world.
59% of twenty-somethings have stopped attending Christian churches
The Next Generation’s Crisis
The church in the United States is facing a crisis. George Barna’s research from 2013 indicates that 59% of twenty-somethings have stopped attending Christian churches, even though they were active at church during their teen years. Through our own research in churches around the country we have found that 2 out of 3 of our empty-nest parents have at least one child not walking with the Lord.
But the Holy Spirit is on the move and God is around the world, turning the hearts of parents to their children, and the hearts of children back to their parents. God is inspiring fathers to become the loving spiritual leaders of their families and renewing in mothers the priority of their ministry at home. God is bringing hope to hopeless marriages and bringing prodigal children home!
